I have mostly used Cakewalk Sonar for my productions, but before I started working on Exosphere I decided to try out a different DAW called Reaper. Sonar is a good platform but over the years more and more things have irritated me about this software. First of all its huge compared to Reaper and takes more of your computer resources. Secondly the workflow is more complicated and leave you with less time on the important stuff, that is composing. Sonar has much more integrated instruments, but I don’t need them anymore so goodbye Sonar. Reaper is so easy to work with and they come with frequent updates. Maybe the best thing though is the price. You can get a full licence as low as 60 dollars, depending on your use. You can also try a full version free for a month. So this DAW is highly recomended by me.
